James Wright // Producer, Director
James is a seasoned producer of factual programmes with a back-catalogue of shows on space, physics, engineering, history and human interest. He’s been in the industry since 2012, and for the last five years has been producing and directing programmes across Europe and the United States, filming with institutions like NASA and CERN, and in hazardous environments, abandoned buildings and volcanic tunnels.
James has a passion for making science easy to understand and fun to learn, with demos and CGI. He’s not afraid to add humour in his writing, but he also has an eye for the drama and can deliver the dramatic gut-punch in history stories.
James’ recent credits include Tony Robinsons’s Marvellous Machines (UKTV/Intl.) Hitler’s Engineers: Building the Third Reich (Sky History/Intl) and Secrets of the Lost Ark (Discovery+, ITV).
Outside of TV James is a space geek, enthusiastic cook, and lego collector.
